Publish Assignments

From the Resource Plan screen, you can publish assignments. Published assignments are saved into a different database, which makes them available for reporting purposes. It also allows employees to view their assigned work and import their assignments into their timesheet.
The Publish options are only available when the Current Plan or Current vs. Published plan view is selected.

Publish All Assignments
- Load the plan in the Current Plan or Current vs. Published plan view.
- Review or enter a set of assignments.
- Click the right mouse button and select the Publish All option.
All assignments are added to or removed from the Published plan for the current timeframe. This includes any deletions, additions, or changes. If an assignment row with the same task information is entered twice for a resource, the rows are handled independently. For the Current vs Published plan view, the values should now match and the highlighting is removed from the assignments.
Publish Selected Assignments
- Load the plan in the Current Plan or Current vs. Published plan view.
- Review or enter a set of assignments.
- Select specific assignments, an assignment row or column, or a group of assignment rows.
- Click the right mouse button and select the Publish Selected option.
The selected assignments are added to or removed from the Published plan for the current timeframe. This includes any deletions, additions, or changes. If an assignment row with the same task information is entered twice for a resource, the rows are handled independently. For the Current vs Published plan view, the values should now match and the highlighting is removed from the assignments.
